The Amodini Kodava Kokkethathi Silver Necklace

This is the original Kodava Kokkethathi necklace traditionally worn by married women from Coorg in Karnataka; it is crafted in Sterling Silver (92.5%) and gold-dipped. It has a traditional crescent shaped pendant with a serpent at the helm, below which is an image of Goddess Lakshmi. The Goddess embodies wealth and prosperity and the serpent, fertility. The rim of the pendant is fringed with pearls.

The necklace string is made of unique-shaped hollow silver beads woven in silver wire.

Measurements: Length of necklace : 22 inches.

Gemstones used: Natural Pearl, kempu stone (also known as spinel or Zircon).

being tarnished or becoming black.)

everyday. Gold polish will fade with regular use and frequent exposure to air and water and will need re-plating/polishing.

has to be stored in an airtight plastic cover away from
moisture, water and sweat. Proper storage will ensure that the
gold-finish, rhodium or rose-gold plating stays for a long time.

*Avoid wearing jewellery while cooking, household cleaning,
bathing or swimming .
